Still without the sun rising, when the mountain peaks were purple, we were at Korça Alpin Club for a quick coffee and a trail start! Over the wavy hills of Devoll, it was getting warm. We stopped at Grapsh, the hidden foothill village, quiet, with stone houses, a creek flowing down from Capstone and the church on the hill. A little touched by modernity, Grapshi has something authentic! After about an hour of somewhat challenging climbing we arrive in Bradvice… the small village, but with a big hill!

The next stop was Ahishtja e Bradvica, which could be reached only after 20 minutes from the village! Ahishtja is meditation, facing trees and sunlight! Picnic and quiet conversation! After the bell fell in the Church of St. Constantine, we continued on to Gjyres! The saffron had bloomed, winter is getting ready to leave! After an hour we were in Gjyres, the village by the stream and on a hill, with stone houses, cobblestone, church, but totally abandoned, no inhabitants, no one! Exactly the time had stopped! His tomb, on a hill surrounded by monumental oaks was the church of St. Thanas!

With the flow of the stream we arrived in Zicisht, where George guides us to the village, told us about the former central, old houses, churches, the century-old chestnut, the people of Zicisht and tradition! Some cheesy toast, a cup of brandy and serenades around the fire! After 17 km of walking, it couldn’t be more beautiful! In the evening we arrived in the city!

So next weekend where we going?
